Pursuit Specialist Job Description
At HDR, we're looking for a skilled Pursuit Specialist to join our team. As a Pursuit Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in leading pursuits from initiation through qualifications, proposal, interview, and selection phases. You'll work closely with business development and marketing leadership, market sector leadership, principals, managing principals, and other leaders across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pursuits from initiation to client selection, ensuring timely and high-quality submittals.
- Manage large pursuit teams and meet high-pressure deadlines with diligence.
- Understand the required experience, knowledge, and project types for each program.
- Collaborate with project managers, marketers, and business developers to coordinate subconsultant and subject matter expert involvement.
- Evaluate content, edit proposal sections, and complete government forms and client questionnaires.
- Conduct market sector research, identify trends, and analyze competitor activity.
- Assist with capture planning and maintain accurate pursuit status reports in our CRM system.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
