About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Art Director to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our technical art team, you will be responsible for leading the development of artistic and technical vision for our games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a long-term vision for technical art and art sustainability across the Battlefield franchise.
  • Organize and shepherd departmental research and solutions towards performance and quality.
  • Work across the franchise to identify improvements, define goals, build consensus, and execute on plans.
  • Collaborate with the production team to maintain schedules and priorities.
  • Represent artists in technical prioritization discussions.
  • Work with other departments to lead technology and tool development.
  • Act as a conduit between art and programming teams.
  • Advocate for the technical art team at the team leadership level.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and research in your field.
  • Identify strategic art resource needs and promote staffing for technical art roles.
  • Mentor, guide, and lead tech artists.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of industry experience in technical art or a related field.
  • Shipped AAA titles in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable expertise in technical and artistic direction.
  • Multiple years of experience leading teams of technical artists.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and effective time-management skills.
  • Experience working with external development teams.
  • A willingness to solve new problems and think creatively.
  • Passion for making and playing games.
