About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Art Director to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our technical art team, you will be responsible for leading the development of technical art solutions and ensuring the highest quality visual experiences for our games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term technical art vision and strategy for the Battlefield franchise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical art needs and opportunities.
  • Lead the development of technical art solutions, including tools, pipelines, and processes.
  • Work closely with artists and programmers to ensure seamless integration of technical art solutions.
  • Represent the technical art team in technical prioritization discussions and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and research in the field to ensure our tools and pipelines remain cutting-edge.
  • Mentor and guide technical artists, providing training and development opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of industry experience in technical art or a related field.
  • Shipped AAA titles in a technical art role.
  • Demonstrable expertise in technical and artistic direction, as well as task management.
  • Multiple years of experience leading teams of technical artists.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and effective time-management skills.
  • Experience working with external development teams.
  • A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems.
  • Passion for making and playing games.
