About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Executive Director to lead our strategic operations in Nova Scotia. Reporting directly to the VP Medicine and Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing operational and clinical strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the objectives of NS Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical leadership and advocacy for major infrastructure projects impacting service delivery within the zone.
  • Ensure all health services and activities delivered are aligned with NS Health objectives.
  • Lead collaboration and cooperation between zones to deliver effective, quality, and safe patient-centered care.
  • Drive improvement and innovation in service delivery models, achieving agreed-upon outcomes and performance goals.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Medical Doctorate (with or without specialty) and evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
  • CCPE/MBA/CHE is preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience at a senior leadership level involved in planning and delivering medical programs and services across multiple locations and partners.
  • Experience engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
  • A successful record of achievement as a leader, including extensive experience in improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with tact and diplomacy.
