The Ridge Hotel & Suites is seeking a highly skilled Executive Pastry Specialist to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. You will also demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff. Additionally, you will prepare and cook meals or specialty foods, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
