The Ridge Hotel & Suites is seeking a highly skilled Executive Pastry Specialist to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry arts and excellent leadership skills to supervise and train our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for our culinary team.
  • Supervise and train cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook meals and specialty foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure a safe and healthy dining experience.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Work Details:

  • Permanent position.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • English language required.
