Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef

The Ridge Hotel & Suites is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our pastry team and creating exceptional desserts and pastries for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for our cooking staff to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Train and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook meals and specialty foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure a safe and healthy dining experience for our guests.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
