Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Coast Hotels. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead and manage the culinary operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and financial performance.

About the Role

The Senior Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the culinary team, driving business growth, and delivering operational excellence. This role will require strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record of success in managing high-performing teams.

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience, with 2 years of leading others. The ideal candidate will possess a Red Seal certification, Food Safe certification, and Hepatitis A vaccination. They will also have a strong understanding of legislation and regulations as they apply to the area and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the culinary team to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu engineering and product development, staying current and market-focused.
  • Secure and control food inventory and labour costs to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen and throughout the hotel.
  • Identify potential leaders within the team and implement training and development programs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Guest satisfaction scores above 85%
  • Food cost percentage below 30%
  • Labour cost percentage below 25%
  • Menu engineering and product development aligned with market trends
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience, with 2 years of leading others.
  • Red Seal certification.
  • Food Safe certification.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination recommended.
  • Strong understanding of legislation and regulations as they apply to the area.
Compensation and Benefits

$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
