Culinary Operations Manager

As a Culinary Operations Manager at Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort, you will play a critical role in leading our kitchen team to deliver outstanding service and high-quality food products.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling. Additionally, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to develop and implement new culinary concepts and menus.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the kitchen team to achieve excellence in food quality, presentation, and service* Develop and implement effective kitchen systems, processes, and procedures* Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness* Supervise staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus and culinary concepts* Maintain accurate records of sales, profits, and labor costs* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
* 4-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field* At least 4 years of experience in senior kitchen leadership roles* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices* Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation (e.g., HACCP) is an asset* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word* Bilingualism or multilingualism is an asset
