Culinary Operations Manager

Job Description
Ensuring Culinary Excellence
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for managing kitchen shift operations, ensuring compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures. You will also estimate daily production needs, communicate with kitchen personnel, and assist the Executive Chef with all kitchen operations and preparation.
Leading Kitchen Operations
In this role, you will supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation. You will lead shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to motivate and encourage your team members to achieve their full potential.
Maintaining Culinary Goals
As a Sous Chef, you will be accountable for achieving and exceeding performance goals, budget goals, and team goals. You will develop specific plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. You will also utilize the Labor Management System to effectively schedule to business demands and track employee time and attendance. By focusing on the details that matter, you will deliver purposeful service and contribute to the success of our hotel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area. OR
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor during peak periods
