About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Sales Manager to join our team at Esso On The Run. As a key member of our sales department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position working 30-40 hours per week with opportunities for professional development and advancement. We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as additional benefits including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and coordinate tasks for sales staff to maximize productivity and efficiency;
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets;
  • Autorize payments by cheque and manage cash transactions;
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels;
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve customer complaints;
  • Establish work schedules and supervise office staff;
  • Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes and personnel matters;
  • Manage payroll administration and oversee volunteer staff.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant work experience;
  • Ability to recruit and train staff, assign tasks, and supervise activities of workers;
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and marketing strategies;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. A valid driver's license may be an asset.
