About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Family and Children's Services Niagara. As a key member of our childcare program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 18 months to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Child Supervision: Provide care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and ordering supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Daycare Team Lead and other staff members to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent as approved by the Ministry of Education.
  • Registration: Valid Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a daycare setting.
  • Certifications: Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. They will also be required to lift children and move equipment as needed.
