We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clerical Associate to join our Inpatient Surgery Department at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our nurses and physicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to the Inpatient Surgery Department, including order entry, patient transportation, and record keeping.
- Manage telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform a range of administrative tasks, including data entry, photocopying, and faxing.
- Work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Medical Office Administration program certificate required.
- Medical Terminology certificate required.
- Current experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Two (2) years of current administrative support required.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
- Excellent keyboarding skills and Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel) required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills essential.
- Previous experience with Meditech system modules, including order entry and admissions, preferred.
- Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
