Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clerical Associate to join our Inpatient Surgery Department at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our nurses and physicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to the Inpatient Surgery Department, including order entry, patient transportation, and record keeping.
  • Manage telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform a range of administrative tasks, including data entry, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Medical Office Administration program certificate required.
  • Medical Terminology certificate required.
  • Current experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Two (2) years of current administrative support required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel) required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills essential.
  • Previous experience with Meditech system modules, including order entry and admissions, preferred.
