Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, organized retail crime, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in our stores. If you have a strong background in loss prevention, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a safe and secure shopping environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build Relationships: Communicate with Asset Protection Specialists and Market Asset Protection Managers on internal and external investigations and physical security within the store. Maintain an open channel of communication with store management and all associates. Partner with store management to drive AP issues and drive a 'Shrink Elimination' culture within the store environment.
  2. Compliance: Detain and interview persons apprehended for shoplifting in accordance with local laws and company procedures. Drive execution of store safety programs and validate compliance with company standards and policies. Validate environmental compliance to company standards.
  3. Build Skills and Knowledge: Meet all Home Depot and AP training and certification requirements. Create associate awareness for shrink issues related to internal and external theft, operational deficiencies, and physical security. Effectively support the AP Team Plan and utilize CCTV and exception reports and audit the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year(s) experience as a retail-related Loss Prevention Investigator (or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to analyze situations and resolve issues with innovation and creativity
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects to completion
  • Exceptional Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office knowledge a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, and confidentiality, with the ability to work independently
