Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resource Consultant to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our employees and management team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide consultative HR services to employees and management, including employee relations, labour relations, and staffing.
  2. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to support business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with management to identify and address HR-related issues and concerns.
  4. Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on workplace complaints and grievances.
  6. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  7. Provide support for recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, interviews, and reference checks.
  8. Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  9. Provide HR metrics and reporting to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in a unionized environment performing a broad range of HR functions.
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources or a relevant discipline combined with a post-graduate certificate in human resources management.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation with current membership in good standing or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities as described in the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
  • Certifications in project management, human resources, change management, and quality processes.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings and occasional travel within the province.
