Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager and Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Pinchin. As a key member of our Geotechnical Services Group, you will play a critical role in assisting with the growth of our Geotechnical Practice in the GTA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality projects and services to our clients.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability in the Geotechnical Services Group.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments within Pinchin to ensure seamless delivery of projects and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements
- University degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a geotechnical engineering role with experience in people and operational management.
- Professional Engineering Designation in the Province of Ontario or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
- Experience managing a CCIL Certified Lab is considered an asset.
- Strong technical writing skills for preparing geotechnical engineering reports and letters for clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
