About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Mississauga or Markham, Ontario. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting field investigations, site inspections, and preparing technical borehole records and field reports
  • Assisting senior staff with engineering analysis, design, and reporting
  • Managing field works and sub-contractors
  • Assisting the geotechnical team in preparing proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
  • Coordinating and managing various geotechnical projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or Geological Engineering
  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of working with relevant software such as gINT, MS Office, and Geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Rocscience (asset but not required)
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
  • Ability to work in extended hours and travel
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
