Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Develop and implement strategies for external financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring they align with our corporate vision and values. Lead the execution of these strategies to enhance current practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality financial reports.
  • Financial Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight for the corporate accounting function, including budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting. Ensure sound finance business processes and internal controls exist throughout the company to safeguard assets.
  • ESG Reporting and Advisory: Oversee the development of ESG reporting and advisory functions, ensuring compliance with internal control policies and external assurance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve ESG reporting deliverables and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Build a high-performing team by hiring appropriately, leveraging talent, and taking corrective action where necessary. Develop a comprehensive succession management strategy and actively develop key talent.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of related work experience or equivalent, preferably in a corporate financial reporting role or similar function.
  • Experience in leading professionals and managing projects of varying scope and complexity.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, as well as knowledge of IFRS and OSC/SEC rules and regulations.
  • Excellent management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work effectively under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $150,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
