Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Indigenous Banking Professional to join our team as a Dynamic Client Solutions Specialist. This role involves delivering exceptional client experiences, managing client relationships, and providing customized financial solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of our Signature Banking Business in Canada by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives that support business strategies and objectives. They will be responsible for day-to-day management of banking and lending solutions, identifying opportunities that meet clients' immediate and future financial needs, and deepening client relationships.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivering Exceptional Client Experiences:
    • Consistently deliver the highest level of service and advice during all client interactions.
    • Develop a full knowledge and understanding of Bank products, services, processes, and policies.
    • Maintain an acute focus on responding quickly and resourcefully to client requests, ensuring first-time right, speed, and ease.
  • Contribute to Client Relationship Management:
  • Understand the client's financial goals and preferences, analyzing their needs, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership over advice-based solutions, including account opening, investments, credit cards, lines of credit, and mortgages.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and make referrals to Scotia Wealth Management partners in response to changes in client needs and preferences.
Support Portfolio Management:
  • Participate in thorough evaluations of client banking and borrowing needs and strategies.
  • Exercise sound judgment and financial analysis when granting loans within authorized limits.
  • Administer Total Wealth product solutions, including Online Loans and Signature Banking Overdraft Facilities.
  • Monitor financial status and proactively identify unfavorable trends, escalating as required.
Risk Minimization:
  • Stay current on retail lending compliance, regulatory compliance, and custody requirements and changes.
  • Adhere to compliance with regulatory activities and guidance over Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Bank security procedures, including retail lending policies and processes, assigned authorities, and limits.
  • Elevate fraudulent activities, unusual occurrences, issues/deficiencies/trends to direct supervisors and applicable Shared Services Department as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of banking experience with at least 3 years in Business and/or Retail Banking dealing with professional clients.
  • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills.
  • Education: University degree or college diploma.
  • Certifications: Industry courses (e.g., CSC, PFP, CFP) would be considered an asset.
Salary Range:

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
