Business Development Representative

GENGROUP is a family-owned company that designs, builds, inspects, repairs and maintains overhead material handling systems.
We are seeking a technically skilled, independent, and organized individual to join our Business Development team as a Sales and Technical Support Representative. This role involves assisting with the administrative tasks of our technical sales team, directly selling inspection services and smaller projects, and resolving customer service issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Sourcing potential new customers and maintaining relationships with existing ones
- Traveling to customer locations to discuss our products and services
- Learning and mastering our sales and estimating processes
- Generating purchase orders for the sales team
- Communicating project timelines and prioritizing jobs during scheduling meetings
- Ensuring project profitability and documenting any changes in scope
- Providing administrative support, including preparing manuals and forms
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
- P.Eng, CET, or other technical expertise
- Previous experience as a sales representative or a project manager, preferably in mechanical or structural fields
- Experience in the material handling or overhead crane industry is considered an asset
