Assistant Manager Job Description

At EssilorLuxottica, we're committed to delivering exceptional vision care to our customers. As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in leading our team to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales growth and profitability by implementing effective business strategies and processes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to diagnose business opportunities and develop plans to address them.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Current and valid state Opticianry license required.
  • 1+ year of management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in leadership positions within retail and customer service industries.
  • Knowledge of basic optics and current store merchandise.
  • State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
