Job Summary
EssilorLuxottica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Retail Leader to join our team in Oakville, ON. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and opticians to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sales associates and opticians to achieve sales and customer service goals
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Manage store operations, including inventory, visual merchandising, and customer service
- Collaborate with the store manager to achieve business objectives and improve store performance
- Provide training and coaching to team members to improve sales and customer service skills
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current and valid state Opticianry license
- 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports
- Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies
- Strong basic math skills
- Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators
- Strong command of the English language for all written correspondence and oral communication
- Strong communicator and listener
- Demonstrated high-level of selling skills
- Proven ability to problem solve
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent
- Previous experience in leadership position within retail and customer service industry
- Knowledge of basic optics
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
- Brand Final Inspector Certification
- Brand Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
