Job Summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Retail Leader to join our team in Oakville, ON. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and opticians to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales associates and opticians to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage store operations, including inventory, visual merchandising, and customer service
  • Collaborate with the store manager to achieve business objectives and improve store performance
  • Provide training and coaching to team members to improve sales and customer service skills

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current and valid state Opticianry license
  • 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators
  • Strong command of the English language for all written correspondence and oral communication
  • Strong communicator and listener
  • Demonstrated high-level of selling skills
  • Proven ability to problem solve

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in leadership position within retail and customer service industry
  • Knowledge of basic optics
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
  • Brand Final Inspector Certification
  • Brand Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
