About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optical Team Lead to join our team at LensCrafters in Oakville, ON. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of opticians and sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Job Description

The Assistant Manager will act as a leader in absence of or in support of the Store Manager, representing LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of opticians and sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
    • Mentor and train team members to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction
    • Provide expert advice on lens choices and product knowledge to customers
  • Administrative Duties
    • Manage store operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising
    • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling and payroll
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure high-quality products and services are delivered to customers
    • Comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent preferred
    • Current and valid state Opticianry license required
  • Experience and Skills
    • At least one year of management or supervisory experience required
    • Strong leadership and communication skills required
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off/vacation.
