Safety Communications Officer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Communications Officer to join our team in downtown Edmonton. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for monitoring phone lines and radio communications to action follow-up tasks and provide information and updates to remote workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor 3 phone lines and radio communications to action follow-up tasks and provide information and updates to remote workers.
- Perform inbound and outbound calls to check in on remote workers and handle inquiries, complaints, and emergency situations.
- Follow emergency protocol and crisis protocols as required.
- Handle inbound calls from external customers regarding inquiries, complaints, and emergency situations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant experience within an emergency communications environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and handle complex calls and stressful emergency situations with a calm demeanor.
- Strong typing skills and intermediate skills with MS Office Suite.
