About the Opportunity:



We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team at CancerCare Manitoba. As a key member of our Department of Radiation Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive oncology services for the province of Manitoba and adjacent areas.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Diagnosing and treating patients with malignant disease, ordering necessary laboratory tests and X-rays as required.
  • Developing and executing management plans for cancer patients, utilizing your expertise in ionizing radiation.
  • Prescribing and supervising therapeutic ionizing radiation, taking an evidence-based approach.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, medical and gynecological oncologists.


Requirements:



Candidates must be certified in Radiation Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or a governing body in their country of practice. They must also be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba and possess specialized research training and experience.
