Radiation Oncologist Position

About the Position:
CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a permanent, full-time Academic Radiation Oncologist to join our multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art clinical outpatient and cancer research facility in Winnipeg, with access to advanced equipment and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and care for patients with malignant disease, ordering necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement management plans for cancer patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches and ionizing radiation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, medical and gynecological oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in research and innovation initiatives to improve radiation oncology services and meet the needs of Manitobans.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be certified in Radiation Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or a governing body in their country of practice, and eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. A one-year fellowship in SBRT/GK or Brachytherapy is also required.
