Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, including assessment, intervention, and treatment administration.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in patient and family education, making pertinent nursing assessments and providing appropriate interventions.
  • Work with cytotoxic and hazardous medications, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses and the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Proficient in computer software and applications, including MS Windows, Word, and Outlook.
  • Satisfactory employment record and ability to legally work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree.
  • Three (3) years' experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care settings.
  • Knowledge and experience in oncology.
  • Experience with electronic charting.
  • Ability to speak French.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Certified Oncology Nurse (CON(C)) designation.
  • Knowledge and experience in wound care.
  • Knowledge and experience in patients receiving radiation therapy.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Leadership skills.
