CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled Academic Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Winnipeg.

About the Position:

This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to excellence in care, research, and education in the field of radiation oncology. You will work closely with medical physicists, medical oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive cancer treatment services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients with malignant diseases using ionizing radiation
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies to advance the field of radiation oncology

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent and eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be paid according to the fee-for-service model in place in Manitoba, with earnings comprised of 70% Professional Maximum through CCMB Payroll and 30% through University Medical Group draws. Additional benefits include a retention fund, on-call pay, and a hiring bonus.

Working Conditions:

You will work in a state-of-the-art clinical outpatient and cancer research facility, equipped with advanced technology, including linear accelerators, brachytherapy suites, and a Gamma Knife Perfexion.
