Bookkeeper - Financial Record Keeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at TOPNOTCH DISPOSAL SERVICES INC. as a Financial Record Keeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, and Simply Accounting.
- Work Environment: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
- Language: English.
