Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, and Simply Accounting.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
Work Conditions
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
