Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on institutional and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule.
  • Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
  • Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings for owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Meet with owners and architects in a professional manner and communicate effectively.
  • Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports to ensure they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

Requirements

  • A construction-related degree or diploma and five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Manager role in institutional or commercial construction.
  • A working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software.
  • The ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
  • CISD Level II (Secret) clearance or eligibility to obtain is considered an asset.
