Experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Wanted for Diesel Fleet

The Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced heavy vehicle mechanic to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of complex issues with diesel trucks, ensuring our fleet is running smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role:
As a heavy vehicle mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Diagnosing and repairing complex issues with diesel trucks
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, and tire rotations
• Inspecting and verifying dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications
• Specializing in repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
• 2+ years of experience working on diesel trucks and heavy equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a class DZ license within 6 months of hire
• Physical stamina to lift and move up to 45kg
