Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at DRM Heavy Duty Towing in Edmonton, AB. As a key member of our fleet maintenance and customer services team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance and repairs on company-owned equipment, as well as completing assigned jobs on customer equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty trucks and equipment
  • Diagnose issues and develop efficient repair plans
  • Maintain accurate service records and work orders through Fullbay
  • Manage parts inventory and tracking
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and efficient shop environment

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy duty mechanical repair
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate or Apprenticeship Program Book
  • CVIP License (asset)
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $40/hour (wage dependent on qualifications)
  • Coveralls provided
  • Benefits package including dental care, extended health care, paid time off, and vision care
  • Overtime pay available

Schedule and Work Environment:

  • Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday schedule with varying shifts (10-hour and 8-hour shifts possible)
  • In-person work location in Edmonton, AB
