This is an exciting opportunity to join the Prehabilitation Coordination Team (PCT) as an Occupational Therapist II (OT II) Intake Team Lead. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for referral management, clinical triage, and patient flow through the program's service options. You will collaborate with the PCT team to lead the ongoing development of clinical intake for the Prehabilitation Program, incorporating an evidence-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate occupational therapy and other allied health clinical services within a program or service area.
- Provide supervision of students and team members as assigned.
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals.
- Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up.
- Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Experience working on a virtual team.
- Connect Care experience with knowledge of referral workflows, data reporting.
- Technical aptitude.
- Experience working as a triage clinician, referral management, or case manager.
