Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Business and Performance Management. This role is a critical part of ensuring the airport's safety and operational efficiency during disruptions and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the emergency planning team responsible for administering the Emergency Management Plan and establishing guidelines and procedures for responding to emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies related to emergency planning and facility life-safety systems.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and business partners, including those providing life-safety services.
  • Manage and lead emergency planning initiatives and projects, including legislated major training/simulation exercises.
  • Support corporate-wide activities related to the implementation of the Authority's Business Continuity Planning framework.
  • Provide direction and support to a dedicated team of employees, including monitoring work efforts and performance, hiring, coaching, and conducting formal evaluations.
Requirements
  • Five years' recent, related progressive experience in a leadership role within an operational environment (emergency planning), supplemented by a bachelor's degree in public safety, public administration, business continuity, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-agency, full-scale emergency exercise and simulation planning and delivery; disaster planning and response.
  • Proven sound judgment and decision-making skills to manage operational and emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risks and threats according to defined protocols and procedures.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, including meeting facilitation and public speaking.
