Civil Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team at Vancouver Airport Authority. As a key member of our Engineering Projects Department, you will be responsible for managing and implementing a diverse range of construction projects, with a focus on airfield and apron facilities, lighting, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage project requirements, scope, budget, and schedule
- Prepare and deliver project implementation plans in collaboration with Airport Operations and Maintenance
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of Request for Proposal and Tender documents
- Manage design teams to meet project outcomes while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget
- Maintain and manage project budgets, including forecasting costs and risk management
- Liaise with internal Airport Authority departments and external stakeholders throughout the projects
- Minimum of five years' experience managing construction projects in the design, construction, or consulting industry, supplemented by a post-secondary degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and standards, particularly for heavy civil work; knowledge of airport operations is an asset
- Strong project management, organization, and documentation abilities
- Proficiency using Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Competitive salary range: $91,587 to $119,696 (Intermediate) or $97,599 to $127,555 (Senior) per annum, based on a 37-hour workweek
