Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Wild Wing (St. Catherines). As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Develop and implement effective work schedules to meet business demands.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Customer Service and Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize financial performance.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, management, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Dependability and initiative to drive results.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be required to maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Language and Work Term

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek. The primary language of work is English.
