Job Summary:
THE EVEREST GRILL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
• Create new recipes and menus
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Requirements:
• 5 years or more of experience in a senior kitchen management role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment
