Director of Player Safety and Security

**Job Title:** Director of Player Safety and Security
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Player Safety and Security to join our team at Ubisoft Entertainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall player safety strategy for our production, defining the vision to foster a safe and protective player experience, and ensuring the evolution of the player's perception of their safety when they are in the game.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and Communicate a Vision: Develop a comprehensive player safety strategy for the production team, based on the project's past, present, and future needs, to create ambitious objectives to better protect the game community.
- Manage Internal and Public Communication: Oversee the internal and public communication strategy around the production player safety topic, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Establish Tracking Standards and Follow-up Policies: Participate in the definition of tracking standards and follow-up policies that enable comparisons among projects on the progress made in terms of player safety (toxicity, security, etc.).
- Build Monitoring Tools and Dashboards: Collaborate with data teams to build monitoring tools and dashboards to track player safety metrics.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research, including external partnerships with academic or industry experts, to understand disruptive behaviors dynamics and impact.
- Annual Development Plan: Establish the annual development plan with project security and safety teams to ensure alignment and progress towards player safety goals.
- Process Upgrades: Work with production leaders to identify necessary process upgrades to better incorporate player safety education and risk mitigation in existing processes.
**Requirements:**
- Senior management experience within the online gaming industry or another relevant digital industry.
- First-hand experience of dealing with online communities of users and managing user safety stakes.
- Deep understanding of technology, UX, software development, and business stakes related to digital spaces and/or online video games industry.
- Analytical mindset at ease with data-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of online gaming culture.
- Strategic achiever who will drive momentum while building alignment in a complex environment.
- Passion for online video games is a plus.
