Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to drive our player safety and security initiatives. As the Player Protection and Game Security Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive player safety strategy that fosters a safe and protective player experience.
Key Responsibilities- Define and Communicate a Vision: Develop a clear and compelling vision for player safety that aligns with the company's overall strategy. Communicate this vision to stakeholders and ensure it is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Measure, Observe, and Understand: Drive programs and initiatives to better measure, observe, and understand threats to player safety. Collaborate with relevant partners to define tracking standards and follow-up policies that enable comparisons among projects.
- Define and Enforce Player Safety Accountability: Ensure player safety is at the center of every design and that production processes and product definitions consider player safety. Establish standards and best practices to guide designers and cell owners.
- Support Product Strategy for Player Safety Services: Work with transversal teams to expose production vision and needs in terms of product and services. Define collaboration mandates with service partners to bring onboard or create new transversal services.
- Educate and Raise Awareness: Raise awareness among other services and partners about norms, best practices, references, and new trends/threats observed in the player safety field.
- Senior Management Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in senior management within the online gaming industry or another relevant digital industry.
- First-hand Experience: First-hand experience of dealing with online communities of users and managing user safety stakes.
- Deep Understanding: Deep understanding of technology, UX, software development, and business stakes related to digital spaces and/or online video games industry.
- Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset at ease with data-driven environments.
- Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of online gaming culture.
- Strategic Achiever: Strategic achiever who will drive momentum while building alignment in a complex environment.
