**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Player Safety and Security to join our team at Ubisoft Entertainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall player safety strategy for our productions, defining the vision to foster a safe and protective player experience, and ensuring the evolution of the player's perception of their safety while in the game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define a comprehensive player safety strategy for the production team based on the project's past, present, and future needs, leading to the creation of ambitious objectives to better protect the game community.
- Manage the internal and public communication strategy around the production player safety topic, ensuring transparency and alignment with the company's values.
- Participate in the definition of tracking standards and follow-up policies that enable comparisons among projects on the progress made in terms of player safety (toxicity, security, etc.).
- Collaborate with data teams to build monitoring tools and dashboards with relevant data.
- Conduct research, including external partnerships with academic or industry experts, to understand disruptive behaviors dynamics and impact.
- Establish the annual development plan with project security and safety teams, ensuring alignment with the company's goals.
- Work with production leaders to identify necessary process upgrades to better incorporate player safety education and risk management in existing processes.
- Raise awareness among other services and partners about norms, best practices, references, and new trends/threats observed in the player safety field.
Requirements:
- Senior management experience within the online gaming industry or another relevant digital industry.
- First-hand experience of dealing with online communities of users and managing user safety stakes.
- Deep understanding of technology, UX, software development, and business stakes related to digital spaces and/or online video games industry.
- Analytical mindset at ease with data-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of online gaming culture.
- Strategic achiever who will drive momentum while building alignment in a complex environment.
- Passion for online video games is a plus.
