**Job Title:** Director of Player Safety and Security

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Player Safety and Security to join our team at Ubisoft Entertainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall player safety strategy for our production, defining the vision to foster a safe and protective player experience, and ensuring the evolution of the player's perception of their safety when they are in the game.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Define and Communicate a Vision: Develop and communicate a comprehensive vision and strategy for player safety, aligned with the project's past, present, and future needs, to create ambitious objectives that better protect the game community.
  • Manage Internal and Public Communication: Oversee the internal and public communication strategy around player safety, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the vision.
  • Establish Tracking Standards and Follow-up Policies: Collaborate with the production team to define tracking standards and follow-up policies that enable comparisons among projects on progress made in terms of player safety (toxicity, security, etc.).
  • Build Monitoring Tools and Dashboards: Work with the relevant data teams to build monitoring tools and dashboards that provide real-time insights into player safety.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research, including external partnerships with academic or industry experts, to understand disruptive behaviors dynamics and impact.
  • Annual Development Plan: Establish an annual development plan with project security and safety teams to ensure that player safety is integrated into the project's overall strategy.
  • Process Upgrades: Collaborate with production leaders to identify necessary process upgrades to better incorporate player safety education and de-risk in existing processes.

**Requirements:**

  • Senior management experience within the online gaming industry or another relevant digital industry.
  • First-hand experience of dealing with online communities of users and managing user safety stakes.
  • Deep understanding of technology, UX, software development, and business stakes related to digital spaces and/or online video games industry.
  • Analytical mindset at ease with data-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of online gaming culture.
  • Strategic achiever who will drive momentum while building alignment in a complex environment.
  • Passion for online video games is a plus.
