Grants Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Officer to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing fundraising activities, identifying and soliciting grants and sponsorships, and enhancing the dignity and quality of life of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with donors and stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships
* Research and identify potential corporate and foundation funders
* Develop and write compelling proposals and applications
* Ensure all reporting requirements are met to sustain and strengthen partnerships
* Develop recognition programs to acknowledge donor support
* Produce impact reports for funders
* Analyze grant and sponsorship patterns for fundraising purposes
* Market and promote Good Shepherd Centres through personal contact and events
* Work cross-functionally with team members to prepare and manage donor information
* Provide prospect profiles and statistical information to the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum three years of fundraising experience with a demonstrated ability to project positively to stakeholders
* Relevant experience in successful major gift solicitation
* Superior written communication skills to produce proposals and correspondence
* Proven aptitude in relationship management and donor development
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Ability to organize and manage assignments and adjust to changing priorities
* Ability to meet stringent deadlines and prioritize workload
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Experience interfacing between databases, spreadsheets, and word processing systems
* Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher and Raiser's Edge software program
