Job DescriptionThe Part Time Intervenor will play a vital role in supporting communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are deafblind. This position requires a high level of skill and expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the individual in their home and community environments
- Using communication techniques to relay information
- Empowering the individual supported to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living
To be successful in this role, you will require a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field. You will also need experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours, as well as communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).

Other RequirementsThis position requires a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the ability to obtain automobile insurance with a minimum liability of $2 million. You must also be able to lift 35 lbs to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
