Full-Time Advocate for Independent Living of Deafblind Individuals

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled advocate to support the independence of individuals who are deafblind.
At Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada, we provide critical communication services that enable our clients to live fulfilling lives. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between our clients and the world around them.
Job Summary:
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Intervenor to join our team in Brantford, ON. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to develop personalized plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
About the Role:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Supporting individuals in their home and community environments
- Developing and implementing effective communication strategies to facilitate seamless interaction
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care and meal preparation
- Collaborating with our clients to set and achieve their individual goals
- Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related field
- Significant experience supporting individuals with dual sensory impairment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
