Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Field Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wireless network in Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform network maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Conduct site acceptance and testing for new or upgraded sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on access and transport nodes, including battery testing and site housekeeping.
  • Ensure site safety and perform regular safety audits.
  • Troubleshoot and restore field access and transport service issues.
  • Replace faulty parts and engage rigging crew when required.
  • Manage field warehouse and warehousing, including RMA for faulty parts.
  • Participate in on-call scheduling and emergency staff augmentation.
  • Work in various environments, including rooftops, remote areas, and night work.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of LTE and 5G network acceptance, testing, and maintenance.
  • Graduate of a recognized telecommunications institution as a Telecommunications Systems Technician, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with test equipment and tools, including BERT, spectrum analyzer, PIM tester, fiber optic tools, battery tester, etc.
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP routing & switching, DC power plants, microwave radio, etc.
  • Valid driver's license.
