About the Role

BANCROFT PETROLEUM INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Station Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our gas stations, ensuring seamless customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze trends to determine consumer demand, sales volumes, and competitor activity, informing business decisions and strategies.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Price and Credit Policies: Develop and implement price and credit policies, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales, increase customer engagement, and promote brand awareness.
  • Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make data-driven decisions to optimize business performance.
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Determine staffing requirements, recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Gas Station Operations Manager who possesses excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. You should have a strong understanding of the retail fuel industry, with experience in staff management, market research, and financial management.

Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or management.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail fuel industry.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make data-driven decisions.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and heavy workloads. You should be able to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail.
