Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at Webber. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance crews, ensuring that all aspects of the contract are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Identify and verify required maintenance work, interpret contracts, and schedule and coordinate in-house or sub-contractor work to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Team Supervision: Supervise maintenance crews effectively, select, develop, and performance manage team members, and facilitate new hire training and ongoing safety and work standard training.
- Incident Response: Respond to incident emergencies, coordinate work of on-site responders, and report accidents or injuries.
- Asset Management: Manage, monitor, and control highway project assets and materials, and identify opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with co-workers, subcontractors, and external agencies, and respond to complaints and issues related to drainage, signs, entrance permits, and road conditions.
- Contract Negotiation: Work with the Operations Manager/Capital Works Manager to identify and qualify subcontractors, and assist in negotiating contract parameters with sub-contractors.
- Reporting: Create and manage successful completion of all work orders, and review claims for damages on the highway system for validity.
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: Minimum five years of work experience in the construction and/or road maintenance industry, with previous supervisory experience required.
- Skills: Strong computer skills in MS Excel and Word, familiarity with the Internet, and ability to multitask, use resources effectively, and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
The incumbent will split working time between office and field work, and will be required to work in a variety of environments, including extreme heat and cold, and exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
