As an Agricultural Banking Leader at National Bank, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of agricultural producers by offering tailored advice and financial services to clients. This position requires a skilled and proactive leader who can effectively manage a team of specialists and develop a superior client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of specialists to contribute to the growth of agricultural producers
  • Develop a skilled sales force to create a superior client experience
  • Support organizational changes and contribute to the development of the team through a multidisciplinary approach
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in the market, increase the commercial client base, and establish business development strategies
  • Oversee a sustainable and profitable growth plan and meet financial performance targets
  • Manage risks inherent to the sector
  • Expand knowledge and that of the team in integrated consulting services
  • Identify and propose ways to change and rethink work practices to boost process and system efficiency
  • Keep abreast of economic trends affecting the Commercial Banking sector and ensure products and services meet evolving client needs
  • Promote the Bank and its products and services with external parties

Team Overview:

You will report to the Vice President Agriculture and lead the team in Eastern Ontario, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Laval, Laurentides, and Abittibi-Témiscamingue. The team consists of 16 employees, including Account Managers and Account representatives.

Training and Development

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience dealing with Commercial Banking clients
  • Knowledge of the agricultural sector or field
  • Solid background in personnel management
  • Experience in complex financing structures and risk analysis
  • Experience in sales coaching
  • Negotiation experience
  • Ability to maximize the use of sales management tools

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location:

This position is based in Eastern Ontario, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Laval, Laurentides, and Abittibi-Témiscamingue.
