We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team as a Home Health Care Nurse Manager in Kingston and the surrounding areas.

Job Description

This is a full-time position that requires a regulated health professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in management roles in the community setting, with a solid understanding of principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and arranging for initial and ongoing assessments of clients requiring unlicensed care and services. They will also supervise, coach, and support Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality client-focused services that comply with standards of practice and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or ensure that care plans are available for clients as appropriate; visit clients as required and update care plans as necessary
  • Conduct training sessions and facilitate and monitor training and educational opportunities for PSWs
  • Ensure that all client concerns and complaints are addressed and documented in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, PSW, and corporate information
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities and notify immediate Supervisor of any Health Concerns
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
  • Recent experience in management roles in the community setting
  • Solid knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery
